Electronic Signature
A computer-generated mark that legally binds an individual to an electronic record, subject to authentication and audit trail requirements under regulations such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11.
Why it matters
PLM approval workflows that produce compliant electronic signatures allow regulated manufacturers to eliminate paper-based approval loops, reduce cycle time, and produce inspection-ready audit trails without manual record assembly.
