Implicit Solver
Numerical solution method that solves coupled equations simultaneously at each time step. Designed for stability and is slower per step but handles large time increments. Preferred for steady-state and quasi-static nonlinear problems.
Why it matters
Implicit solvers are the standard for structural analysis, material nonlinearity, and long-duration transient problems. Abaqus' implicit architecture became the industry reference for reliability and convergence.
