Meshing (CAE)

Process of discretizing continuous geometry into discrete finite elements. Balances computational accuracy (mesh density) against computational cost. Critical bottleneck in simulation workflows.

Why it matters

Mesh quality directly impacts simulation accuracy and computation time. Automated meshing tools like HyperMesh enable handling of massive assemblies (millions of elements) that would be impossible to mesh manually.
