Predictive Quality
A quality management approach that uses machine learning and historical defect data to predict where and when defects are likely to occur — enabling intervention before parts are produced, rather than after inspection.
Why it matters
Predictive quality shifts the economics of manufacturing quality from inspection cost to prevention cost, reducing scrap, rework, and warranty claims while enabling higher throughput without sacrificing quality assurance.
