Spatial Technology

Spatial Technology Inc. (today Spatial Corp., a Dassault Systèmes company) was founded by Dick Sowar in Boulder, Colorado. It partnered with Three-Space Ltd, the UK company of Ian Braid, Alan Grayer and Charles Lang, to develop the ACIS geometric modeling kernel, released in 1989, and brought the Cambridge team into Spatial. Dassault Systèmes acquired Spatial in 2000. Spatial sells ACIS and components of Dassault's CGM kernel to software vendors that embed 3D modeling in their products.
