Vault Replication
The process of maintaining synchronized copies of PLM data (CAD files, documents, BOM data) at multiple physical locations to reduce access latency for distributed teams.
Why it matters
Without vault replication, engineers at remote sites experience multi-second delays when opening CAD files or checking out documents — enough friction to drive workarounds and shadow systems.
