Integration Governance
Integration governance is the set of enforced decisions that make enterprise integration trustworthy: which system is authoritative for each data domain, which events trigger data movement and in which direction, how conflicts between systems are resolved, and how changes to integrated data are audited across system boundaries.
Why it matters
Systems that can exchange data will still drift without governance. Two versions of the truth, ghost revisions and parallel spreadsheet BOMs are governance failures, and they survive any number of tool upgrades.
