PLM Integration
PLM Integration is the discipline of connecting Product Lifecycle Management systems to other enterprise systems—CAD, CAM, ERP, MES, suppliers, quality, service—ensuring that product data flows seamlessly and stays synchronized across the organization.
Why it matters
Without PLM integration, product data is manually re-entered across systems, creating version drift, errors, and wasted engineering hours. Well-integrated PLM enables the digital thread: a single connected record from design intent through manufacturing and service that makes change governance, traceability, and AI-readiness possible.
