PLM integration is the discipline of connecting the product lifecycle management system to the enterprise systems that author, consume and change product data: CAD for design authoring, ERP for procurement and cost, MES for shop-floor execution, ALM for embedded software, QMS for quality events and supplier systems for the extended enterprise.
