The process by which modifications to product definitions are controlled, reviewed, approved, and released — ensuring changes are traceable and their impacts are assessed.
Why it matters
Change management is where most PLM governance failures occur. In safety-critical industries, uncontrolled changes have caused product failures and loss of life.
