Windchill
PTC's enterprise Product Lifecycle Management platform, originally acquired from Windchill Technology in 1998. Built on web architecture to manage product data across R&D, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and service. Foundation of PTC's PLM strategy.
Why it matters
Windchill is one of the "Big Three" PLM systems (alongside Siemens Teamcenter and Dassault ENOVIA). Its acquisition and evolution shaped PTC's shift from a CAD-centric vendor to a digital-thread powerhouse.
